The Clarinda M. Brueck
Handicapped Athletic Fund
A non profit, tax exempt organization under section 509 (a) (1) of the IRS Code
A Registered Charity in the state of New Jersey
Purpose
The activities of this organization center around fund raising for the advancement of the Physically Challenged (disabled) in all sports on the national as well as international level. It will provide a means of educating, and enabling or supporting amateur athletes in their journey to participate in national and international competitions as well as training.
A Physically Challenged athlete is in need of supplying certain costs in achieving the aforementioned goals. Therefore, the purpose of the organizations' fund raising is to defer the athletes' training, competition, travel, and equipment expenses. The fund also seeks to support race directors, sport clinics and events which champion this cause on the national and international level. In addition, through these means, the athlete will educate others as to being a more wholesome individual in society whereas, if I can accomplish this, by my example, so can you.
Physically Challenged athletes participate in competitions in the United States and abroad, with this organization beginning its enabling activities January 1, 1994.
The present plan for this organizations' activities is to provide support for national and international competition of all distances, championship races, education and training for all ages. Projecting toward the future; to provide sponsor support for national and international competition and training leading toward successive championship races, the Olympics and sport research in addition to making the world more aware of the plight of the Physically Challenged along the way.
